Our beloved friend has fought the good fight and finished the race. She kept the faith and has gone to claim the crown of righteousness she has earned.

Thank you to the Sisters of Mercy and the congregation for such a lovely Requiem Mass for Sr Monica (Joy to us). Watching here in Dublin with Paddy, Sr Monica’s brother and Moira. She was as was said a very special and kind person and the speakers did her justice with their words.
May she rest in peace. She touched the lives of so many. She was Aunty Joy to me and reminded me so much of my dad Richard( her brother who passed away in 1988).I am watching from Taree Australia. Thanks to The Sisters of Mercy for a lovely service.
Our hearts ache at the loss of dear sweet little Sr Monica….. a humble kind soul, yet a power house of strength and compassion and a true disciple of Jesus and Catherine Mac Auley. Our consolation is that we were so privileged to have known her as a friend and teacher of our daughter Enya. God has a very special Angel at His side now. Rest in eternal peace Sr. Monica and thank you for all the goodness you brought to the world. Beannacht de leat. X Roisin O’Connell Hussey and family
Sincere sympathy to Olive ,Dermot and all the O’Byrne family. To the community of St. Catherine’s we offer our deepest condolences. We have lovely memories of visiting Sr. Monica ( Joy ) in South Africa and also her visit to our home in Wexford.
Darling Sister Monica, You made my junior school days a joy. Being called to the head office meant a cup of tea and a biscuit and lovely chat – those days I treasure . Thank you for making school magical. You will be missed in this world. All my love Deb x
